Vice President of Business Development

Nanograf Technologies is a well-positioned Chicago-based start-up company with additional operations in Burlingame, CA and Ichihara, Japan. NanoGraf is commercializing a Si/Graphene negative electrode material for use in advanced Li-ion batteries. Nanograf is at a critical inflection point in its growth and is seeking a highly energetic, experienced, high-tech senior business development individual to join its team.

VP Business Development Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage and drive existing customer relationships to commercial success; this includes close business and technical communication, exchange of quotes, POs and JDAs
  • Identify and engage new customers and strategic partners across the value chain
  • Build, plan and execute marketing and communications strategies
  • Communicate business development goals, status and action items to the broader Nanograf team

VP Business Development Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technology-related field or MBA with significant technology understanding
  • Experience in sales, marketing and business development activities
  • Experience in a start-up company and understanding of the start-up, VC and entrepreneurial culture is beneficial
  • Battery industry knowledge is preferred
